Social
We hold social events on a regular basis. This lets our members get out and about together with their cameras and help each other further their skills. We will be posting details of upcoming events here so keep checking this page regularly. In addition we will be sending out social newsletters letting our members know what is happening and events will also appear on the programme page and events calendar found on the website. More information and updates will be posted on the club forum so please go check it out regularly.
Vanda and Tracey are our sub committee members and organise all of our events. If you would like more information you can use our contact page by selecting Social in the drop down box. Alternatively, you can call Vanda on 07799 218 265 or Tracey on 07974 645 921.

Saturday 15th October 2011 – A guided photographic amble around Yarmouth.
We will all meet at 10 am on the Green in Yarmouth (this is next to the Isle of Wight Council’s Pay & Display Car Park). Make your way to the picnic benches on the Green, which is by the Yarmouth Sailing Club building. This event is FREE apart from car parking.
Our Guide for this ramble is John Brownscombe, until recently the Council’s AONB Officer (Area of Outstanding Beauty). John, himself a keen photographer, is very knowledgeable on the area and will tell us all about the Yar Estuary, the salt marshes, the landscape, and flora/fauna of the area. We will visit Mill Copse where there is a bird hide for those orni-thingy-wotsits among our group.
We have devised the amble ( note amble, not walk ) to suit all ages, so it will be at a nice steady pace on easy terrain, with John explaining things as we go along, stopping at particular points of interest. We will cover no more than 1.5 to 2 miles in total, and the ramble will last for approx. 1 hour. We will then be free to take advantage of this wonderful and spectacular area to take photographs in an around the Estuary, the harbour, the Old Mill, the old railway line, boats in the harbour and river, Yarmouth Pier, the old town, the list goes on.
Please RSVP using the contact page by selecting ‘Social’ in the drop down.
Regards, Tracey & Vanda.

Although this outing has an entrance fee, we don’t anticipate this being the case each time. We chose Butterfly & Fountain World as an all-weather attraction in the hope that our first event would go without a hitch!
We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
