Catching the moment......

Do you enjoy looking at photographs?
Want to improve your skills and understanding of your camera?

Need help in using the various software such as Lightroom or Photoshop Elements?

The Camera Club organises and hosts:

  • Club competitions for prints and for digital images.
  • Talks from guest speakers on travel photography and camera  use.
  • Inter club competitions take place throughout the year so there are chances to meet and compete with photographers from other camera clubs.
  • Tutorials on software…… and much more.

SSDCC meets at the Sports Pavilion, Watery Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight, PO36 0LX at 7.30 pm every Tuesday evening between September and May. Our first meeting of the season is fairly informal, a chance to go through the years programme and meet friends. New members are not required to join at once, get to know us first and then decide whether to join. One year's membership is only £25.00 for over 30 club evenings!

Our membership covers a wide range of skill levels, complete beginners to those who have built up years of experience. You do
not need an expensive, complicated camera any more (but they do give you more scope) . It is now possible to use mobile
phone cameras to submit images for competitions and win!

Look at our Events Calendar…..come and meet us! You will be very welcome.
